

Others are displayed more dramatically, like the Iraqi tank mentioned above. Many of the tanks are arranged in clean rows, like cars in a showroom or works of art. Other unusual tanks in the collection include an Iraqi T-72A tank captured during Operation Desert Storm, now displayed on top of a crushed car. There's a World War I M1917, and a German Mark IV Panzer tank from World War II. Many are rarely seen in collections - or anywhere! The AAF Tank Museum (AAF stands for American Armoured Foundation), currently has over 120 tanks and artillery pieces in its 330,000 square foot display room. In fact, it has one of the most extensive collections of tank and cavalry artifacts in the world! The AAF Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia is not your average military museum.
